You Are Welcome!
Thank you for stopping by! We know how important it is to find a church community where you are loved just as you are, and also find inspiration to grow as a child of God and follower of Jesus. We hope you’ll feel welcome to get to know us and help us get to know you.
During these times of intense cultural and political polarization, we celebrate diversity as an expression of God’s creative nature and a pattern which fosters compassion, understanding and growth. Because none of us can possess the whole truth, we believe our faith, wisdom and clarity are deepened through our shared pursuit of knowledge, subjected to the insights of scripture, tradition, reason and those with different perspectives. Facts do exist, but they’re of limited worth when they’re not perceived by those with the ability and will to act upon them. And action, alone, is seldom enough to heal what is broken in our lives and in our world. We regularly fall short of the justice and peace we seek. So we humbly come together to practice love, learn from each other, grow in our faith and continue the work which Jesus began. We trust the Spirit to give our community the power to accomplish far more than any of us could, on our own.
Worship is where we draw our attention to Love’s presence and activity among us to express our needs, hopes and thanks; and listen for Love’s leading. We gather each Sunday at 10:40 a.m. (9:30 a.m. during the summer.) Our service is also available via Zoom. You can email pastor ‘kenrieman’ at gmail to request a link.
Sunday School is where we study and engage the intersection of our faith and living. We offer classes for all ages at 9:30 a.m., throughout the school year. The adult discussion class is available via Zoom.
After worship, we visit with each other and enjoy coffee, tea and refreshments in our social hall.
We average around 50 people in attendance, so as a visitor, you’re likely to be welcomed more warmly than anonymously. We are fairly informal in dress and style of worship. We serve communion on the first Sunday of each month to all who wish to partake. We require no affirmations of faith or doctrine and ask only that you extend the same grace to all those who are present.
Thank you, again, for visiting.
